The tropical rainforest is a hot, moist biome where it rains all year long. A 1/5 of all the world's plants and birds and about 1/10 of all mammal species are found there. Tropical rainforest are located in more than 40 different countries in five main geographical areas around the world.

Temperate rainforests are found along some coasts in temperate zones. The amazon jungle is the world's largest tropical rainforest.
